Low-cost Turkish carrier to offer 100,000 free tickets to mark 10th anniversary
Low-cost Turkish carrier Pegasus plans to distribute 100,000 free tickets to mark the 10th anniversary of its establishment, with the first 100,000 people who buy a domestic or foreign-bound ticket as of Dec. 3 benefiting from the campaign, according to company representatives.
The tickets can be used until March 31, 2016, they added.
Ryanair to include flights from Athens to Dublin and Berlin in 2016
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair will include two new routes in its schedule from Athens to Dublin and Berlin next year.
According to Ryanair’s sales and marketing manager for Greece, John Alborante, the route to Dublin will start in March 2016 with three flights per week, whereas the route to Berlin will be covered with one daily flight.
Indian carrier confirms record order of 250 Airbus A320neos
Indian airline IndiGo has confirmed an order for 250 A320neo planes, Airbus announced on Aug. 17, the aviation giant's largest ever contract by number.
The order is worth some $26.5 billion (24 billion euros) at catalogue prices, and brings to 530 the number of A320 and A320neo medium-haul planes owned by the low-cost operator.
Sofia Airport Records 8.3 % Increase in Number of Passengers in July
The airport of the Bulgarian capital recorded a 8.3 % increase in the number of passengers in July compared to the same month in 2014.
A total of 393 312 passengers were serviced in July, with 67 % of them going through Terminal 2, while the remaining 33 % passed through Terminal 1, which services the low-cost airlines.
Ryanair to Launch Flights Sofia-London Stansted in May 2016
Low-cost carrier Ryanair launches flights to Sofia as of May 2016.
The first route to be serviced by the company will be Sofia Airport - London Stansted Airport, according to an announcement published on the airline's website.
Tickets will go on sale in September.
Ryanair currently only operates flights from Plovdiv Airport.
