Gucci forced to pull video ad for showing ‘overly thin’ models (photos-video)
A Gucci online video commercial that aired featuring an ‘unhealthily thin’ model has caused great controversy, leading to its ban by the Advertising Standard Authorities (ASA). The Italian fashion brand ran an online video ad showing a number of models dancing to a soundtrack. The final part of the ad, which ran on the Times website in December, featured still photos of the individual models.
Shakespeare inspires London designers
Designers showcased their latest creations Feb 21 at the London Fashion Week, where Alexander McQueen made a return after 14 years London's fashion designers on Feb. 21 drew inspiration ranging from nature to William Shakespeare, presenting oversized coats and embellished dresses while reassessing how to sell clothes faster to a new generation of online consumers.
