Govt adopts set of amendments to public administration law
BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted on Tuesday a set of draft laws which should considerably improve the efficiency in the work of public administration.
The government adopted the bill of amendments to the Law on Civil Servants, the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media released.

Floods, Thunderstorms Wreak Havoc in the Balkans
Romania is still struggling with the aftermath of the torrential rains and the floods which hit the country on Tuesday and have already claimed five lives.
Some 1,200 people were evacuated from their homes due to the overflowing rivers, 2,200 houses were damaged by the floods, and 99 of them were completely destroyed, local media outlets reported.

Hoffmann: Some Labour Law provisions inconceivable in Europe
BELGRADE - Certain provisions in the recently adopted amendments to the Labour Law in Serbia are not in keeping with European standards and some of them even constitute a setback and are inconceivable in Europe, Chair of the Confederation of German Trade Unions Reiner Hoffmann stated on Thursday.
New bill on work of provincial, local government officials
BELGRADE- The bill on the work of officials in the autonomous provinces and local governments will be submitted to the government by the end of August and then be forwarded to the parliament for adoption, Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki said Tuesday.

Average salary in June RSD 44,883
BELGRADE - The average net salary paid in Serbia in June 2014 amounted to RSD 44,883, which is higher by 1.6 percent in nominal and by 1.5 percent in real terms compared to May, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia released on Friday.

Two trade unions press criminal charge against Vulin
