Turkey's Defense Minister Fikri Işık and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ have refuted recent claims that the premises of Anıtbakir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, would be opened to construction.

Turkey will mark National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23, the anniversary of the Turkish Parliament's foundation, with official ceremonies to be held in Ankara. 

Turkey is commemorating the 78th anniversary of the death of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the modern Republic of Turkey, on Nov. 10.

Thousands of people flocked to Anıtkabir, Atatürk's mausoleum in the capital Ankara, while local municipalities throughout the country also prepared day-long commemoration events.
