The Croatian Government will Introduce a Fixed Price for Basic Food Products
At its meeting on Thursday, the Croatian government will take a decision to set a fixed price for eight basic products, said Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
The price of sunflower oil will be lower - 1.72 euros per liter (now it is 1.86 euros), there will be a price limit for milk, flour, sugar, whole chicken and minced pork.
Bulgarian Livestock Breeders have Warned that the Sector is on the Verge of Bankruptcy
Livestock breeding in Bulgaria is on the verge of bankruptcy, warned representatives of organizations in the sector.
At a general meeting, they requested a meeting with the president, the acting prime minister and the finance minister, but such a meeting has not yet been set.

Greek livestock breeders: Pressures to reduce the price of cow’s milk
The efforts of dairy companies to reduce the price of cow's milk to farmers at the same time as the price of it available on the "shelf" of supermarkets continues to rise, are brought to the fore by the Greek Holstein Breed Association and the Hellenic Livestock Association (SEK).
Milk production slowdown due to rise in production costs
Raw milk production decreased by about 10 percent last October compared to the previous year due to the increased costs.
Due to the low selling price in the face of costs throughout 2022, the producers sent their milk-producing animals to slaughter.
Drinking milk production up in 2021 after 4-year decline
Ljubljana – Slovenian dairies produced some 160,700 tonnes of drinking milk last year, up 1.7% compared to 2020, an upward trend that follows a four-year decline, data by the Statistics Office shows. Full-fat milk accounted for more than 84% of the total production.
Milk products output increases in 2021
Nearly all products made of milk increased in Turkey last year, although drinking milk output decreased, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Feb. 14.
