Policemen pelted with stones in Exarchia
A group of individuals riding on 60 small motorcycles threw stones and bottles against a police force stationed at the corner of Patision Avenue and Tositsa Street in Exarchia, central Athens, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to information, the perpetrators wore clothes with the logo of a football club.
There is no information on injuries.

Motorcyclist killed by lightning strike, police in northern Greece say
Authorities in Greece say a 58-year-old motorcyclist was killed when lightning struck him on a highway.
Police say the man was found dead 40 kilometers east of the northern city of Thessaloniki with a hole in his helmet, presumably the result of the lightning striking him.
The victim was driving toward the city in stormy conditions.

Extreme motorcyclist Travis Pastrana jumped between two barges 23 meters across the Thames River in London, making a back flip in the air, Reuters reported.
Travis Pastrana is a rider in extreme motorcycle. He is 34 years old. During his career he broke bones more than 90 times, and 25 times he had a brain trauma.

The crash between two motorcycles and a car being driven by a 67-year-old German national killed the two motorcyclists and a passenger on one of the bikes.
301,000 die in motorcycle accidents in last 10 years in Turkey
Some 301,000 people have died in motorcycle accidents in the last 10 years in Turkey, according to daily Habertürk.
There are some 3 million registered motorcycles in the country and the number of people killed in the first half of 2017 reached 100, it reported on July 3.
Another sad distinction
Greece has been bestowed with yet another depressing distinction, coming number one in all of Europe when it comes to deaths caused by single-vehicle collisions.

"25,000 motorcyclists injured in Serbia in last decade"
Some 25,000 motorcyclists have been injured in traffic accidents in Serbia over the past ten years, while about 1,000 have died, says Vladimir Jevtic.
Jevtic is the president of the Association for Safety of Motorcyclists.
