The Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki opened in 2001 with the aim of telling the story and preserving the memory of the northern port city's Jews with exhibits including heirlooms and testaments to their presence. On the occasion of the recent inauguration of its new wing, curator Evangelos Hekimoglu talks about the museum and the changes that the new wing represents.

A selection of colorized photographs from the Holocaust will be on display in an exhibition next week at the Jewish Museum of Turkey in Istanbul, according to the museum's official webpage.

"Through the Lens of Nissim Levis: A Family, an Era," an exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Greece through October 5, focuses on photographs taken by Dr Nissim Levistaken during the period from the final years of Ottoman rule (1898-1913) to 1930.
