Some species of wild mushrooms in Bavaria are still heavily contaminated with radioactive Caesium-137 more than 30 years after the Chernobyl disaster, DPA reported.
First legal framework for Greek mushrooms
The first comprehensive legal framework for mushrooms in Greece has been compiled by the Environment Ministry. Among the issues discussed were collection methods, training seminars and the certification of mushrooms, so that imports do not end up being sold as Greek.

3-year-old drives car over baby in accident in Slovenia
A three-year-old boy has driven a car over his one-year-old cousin, inflicting deadly injuries to the baby, media in Slovenia are reporting.
The incident happened as the children's parents were picking mushrooms in a nearby wood, close to the village of Brstovec.
