Cabinet Proposes Former Foreign Minister as New Bulgarian Ambassador to Turkey

The government proposed the former Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky to be appointed as the Bulgarian ambassador to Turkey.

The decision was taken at the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, which took place on Wednesday, the government's press service informs.

The nomination will be forwarded to President Rosen Plevneliev, who has to issue a decree on her appointment.

Bulgaria's Neynski 'In Talks over Turkey Mission'

Nadezhda Neynsky, a former Bulgarian Foreign Minister (1997-2001), has said she has entered talks to take over Bulgaria's Embassy in Ankara.

Neynsky told the Bulgarian National Television on Thursday that she could not comment on the procedure, but added she was "ready to work for the Bulgarian national interest".

Sofia Office of Bulgarian Populist Party Set Ablaze

The office of the Bulgaria without Censorship party on Lomsko Shose Blvd in Sofia was set ablaze on Tuesday night.

The front window of the party's office was broken with a stone, after which a Molotov cocktail was thrown inside, according to reports of Sega daily.

The tip-off for the fire was submitted at 3 am on Wednesday.
