National Socialist Underground murders

A senior Turkish diplomat on Feb. 19 met the families of the victims of a 2020 racist attack in the town of Hanau, Germany.

Turkey has called for justice for the victims of the National Socialist Underground (NSU) ahead of a verdict in a major trial that revealed "institutional racism" in Germany.

The Turkish embassy in Berlin criticized on May 7 the protracted trial of far-right extremists who are suspected of killing eight Turkish immigrants, a Greek citizen and a German policewoman between 2000 and 2007.

German ne0-Nazi Beate Zschaepe, aged 40, gave apologies to families of her victims for her involvement in a killing spree against eight Turkish and one Greek immigrant, as well as a police officer. She told the families that she was “morally guilty” for the deaths of their loved ones.
