Nationalist Movement Party Extraordinary Congress

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) have vowed to push through constitutional amendments to shift Turkey to an executive presidential system at parliament and a subsequent referendum, as parliament is set to debate the whole package from Jan 9. 

Turkish Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has said he will back a bill to change the country's constitution both in the Parliament vote and in a referendum if one has to take place.

Anadolu Agency, which has quoted Bahçeli, has not given details.
