Volunteers help fight Greece's plastic trash problem

Some Rain with Thunder Forecast in Western and Central Regions of Bulgaria in Afternoon

Today the clouds will continue increasing from west to east. In the afternoon, there will be some rain with thunder in the western and central regions of the country, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology told Focus News Agency.

Sunny Weather in Bulgaria Today, With Temperatures Between 16° and 21°C

Today it will be sunny, in the afternoon with clouds high over the western regions of the country. With light wind from south-southeast, the temperatures will start increasing and the maximum ones will be in the range of 16°C to 21°C, in Sofia about 18°C,  the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology told FOCUS News Agency.

Mostly Sunny but Windy Today, with Temperatures of Up to 11-16°C

Windy weather is forecast for today, with moderate and strong wind from west-northwest. It will be mostly sunny, sometimes with more clouds and with light rain only in some places.

The maximum temperatures will range between 11°C and 16°C, in Sofia about 12°C, as reported to FOCUS News Agency by  the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.

Earthquake of Magnitude 7 Strikes off Papua New Guinea

An earthquake of 7 magnitude struck off Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said, but there were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage, reported Reuters. 

The quake, the latest in a series in the region over recent days, struck 180 km west of the town of Rabaul, on New Britain island, at a shallow depth of 10 km, the USGS said.
