Djokovic defeats Halys, to face Shapovalov in Adelaide quarters
ADELAIDE - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Frenchman Quentin Halys 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-5) at the Adelaide ATP tournament on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals.
The Serbian will play Canadian Denis Shapovalov in a bid to reach the semi-finals.

Sixth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas has advanced to the third round of the Australian Open after his German opponent Philipp Kohlschreiber withdrew due to injury, organizers said on Wednesday.
ATP Finals champion Tsitsipas, 21, will meet either Canadian 32nd seed Milos Raonic or Cristian Garin of Chile in the third round, having never faced either opponent before.

Furious Djokovic reached Wimbledon semi-finals!
World No 1 will play against Roberto Bautista-Agut, who had beaten Guido Pella in four sets.
Serb had played a great match against the Belgian, who appeared to get lost on the court in the second and third set.
Novak performed best on this year's tournament, so the issue of winner has never brought into question.

Tsitsipas through to Australian open 3rd round
Stefanos Tsitsipas is through to the third round and closer to a potential meeting with defending champion Roger Federer at Melbourne Park.
The Greek 20-year-old beat Viktor Troicki 6-3, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 but wasted a lot of break-point opportunities as the Serbian player saved 15 of 19 chances created by Tsitsipas.
