Toll fees on Greek highways start year lower than 2014
Toll charges on Greeces national highways started the year slightly down from 2014 levels, as rates are pegged to the performance of the economy.
On the Nea Odos and Kentriki Odos highways linking Athens to the northern port city of Thessaloniki, rates at toll posts have been reduced by between 15-30 cents.
Rates are also down slightly in the Peloponnese and western Greece.
Restarted highways see revenues from tolls
Revenues from toll charges on four major highways on which construction had ceased for two years before recommencing recently, came to 1.25 billion euros in the 2008-2013 period, Transport Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis has told Parliament.
