Kadıköy Municipality’s Cinematheque hosts Istanbul Film Festival
The 41st Istanbul Film Festival, Turkey's biggest international cinema event, opened on April 9, with Kadıköy Municipality's Cinematheque/Cinema House being one of the movie theatres where the festival films are being screened.
Awards presented at Ankara Film Festival
The best film award at the 28th Ankara International Film Festival's National Feature Film competition was given to Ali Kemal Çınar's "Genco."
The festival, organized by the World Mass Media Research Foundation between April 20 and 30, ended with an award ceremony at Şinasi Stage, attended by well-known figures of Turkish cinema artists, academics and art lovers.

'Yellow Heat,' 'Clair Obscur' lead pack at Istanbul Film Festival awards
Fikret Reyhan's "Yellow Heat" was the big winner at the awards for the 36th Istanbul Film Festival, picking up four Golden Tulips, including one for best film.
"Yellow Heat" was closely followed by Yeşim Ustaoğlu's "Clair Obscur," which one three awards, including one for best director to the veteran filmmaker Ustaoğlu.
'Dust Cloth' chosen Best Film at Istanbul Film Festival
The 35th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), presented this year's awards at a ceremony at the Haliç Congress Center on April 15.
The Golden Tulip for the Best Film in the National Competition of the festival went to "Toz Bezi" (Dust Cloth), directed by Ahu Öztürk, who received the award from the jury head, Müjde Ar.

Istanbul's IKSV festivals record 224,000 visitors in the first seven months
The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (?KSV) announced that its events for the first half of 2015- the Istanbul Film, Music and Jazz Festivals- have concluded, while registering 224,000 viewers in the first seven months of this year.
Zeugma Film Festival in Gaziantep
The International Zeugma Film Festival will be held between Nov. 3 and 9 in the southern province of Gaziantep. The festival will bring more than 80 selected national and foreign films to the city and offers the audience a chance to join talks with master filmmakers.
