Open call for applications for the European media hackathon to boost innovative synergy on the cutting edge of journalism and technologies

Technology entrepreneurs from all over Turkey gathered in Istanbul over the weekend for the country's first hackathon for capital markets.

A platform called ""Time Is Brain," developed by researchers at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), University of Crete, was awarded first prize at the first Hacking Health Hackathon (HHH) competition, it was announced on Tuesday.

The Onassis Cultural Centre in collaboration with the Europeana Space Network, invites designers, artists, publishers, programmers, authors, poets, hackers and entrepreneurs to a marathon which will redefine the book.

The marathon will revolve around programming, design and entrepreneurial innovation.

The World Bank is organizing a competition for young programmers in the form of a hackathon to be held in Sofia.

There currently are 50 registered participants, who have formed a total of 16 teams, including a more experienced member and one with less experience in mobile ap development.
