Muslim countries should review their ties with Israel, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said on May 15, a day after Israeli forces killed 60 Palestinians during protests on the Gaza border.

The Arab League will hold an emergency meeting Tuesday on Israeli deadly attacks against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, league official said Monday, Anadolu Agency reported.

“Good morning (smiley emoji),” one typical chat began.

Israel carried out an air strike on the Gaza Strip early on Oct.5 in response to a Palestinian rocket attack from the territory, an army statement said. 

"Israel Air Force aircraft targeted a Hamas terror site in the northern Gaza Strip," it said.
 
The rocket was fired into southern Israel late on Oct.4 but hit open ground, the army said.    

Israel launched an air strike against a Hamas facility on Aug. 27 in response to a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army said. 

The exiled head of Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, said "positive contacts" have been made towards securing a long-term truce with Israel, in a video posted Friday on an Arab website.

Jihadists in the Gaza Strip have threatened to fire rockets at Israel in response to a Hamas crackdown on extremists in the Palestinian territory.

The threat came in reaction to the arrest of militants suspected of targeting members of Hamas's armed wing on July 19 with a series of bombings.
