An invoice of nearly half-million Turkish Liras ($50,888) asked from four guests who went to a restaurant of world-renowned Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, known as the Salt Bae, in London sensationalized social media.

People reacted to the invoice, saying, "Dinner in Nusret London is more expensive than flying to and eating in a Nusret restaurant in Istanbul."

Legendary Ottoman naval ship commemorated 101 years on

A legendary Ottoman minelayer naval ship that served on the Gallipoli front in World War I has been commemorated 101 years after its passage through the Dardanelles.

TCG Nusret (N-16), an Ottoman ship known for laying 26 mines off the Erenköy harbor in the Dardanelles in 1915, performed a commemoration passage through the same route on March 8. 

Çanakkale 'hero ship' Nusret to honor martyrs on centennial anniversary

The TCG Nusret, a replica of the legendary mine-laying ship ?Nusret,? regarded as the ?hero? ship of the Turkish defense of the Dardanelles during World War One, will follow a century-old route and lay mines on March 8, as part of a series of events marking the centennial anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli in Çanakkale.
