Win at last for Panathinaikos in Europe, as Reds stay on top

While Euroleague leader Olympiakos' win over Bayern at home on Thursday was hardly a surprise, the victory Panathinaikos scored against Red Star Belgrade in Athens on Friday was definitely eye-catching, after a long string of six defeats for the Greens.

Panathinaikos came back from 16 points down to beat the Serbs 75-66 for only its ninth win in 28 games.

PAOK thrashes Panathinaikos as AEK gets to one point from the top

PAOK outplayed Panathinaikos in Sunday's crunch game to force the Greens' first home loss and throw the Super League wide open, as AEK has closed the gap from the top to a single point.

Four days after beating the Greens in Thessaloniki 2-0 for the Cup, PAOK went one better in Athens on Sunday night as it eclipsed the league leader with a 3-0 result.

Big night for Olympiakos against Real Madrid in Euroleague

Olympiakos recaptured the summit of the Euroleague table through an emphatic home win over hitherto leader Real Madrid on Friday. Panathinaikos, in turn, suffered one more defeat on the road on Thursday, this time at Virtus Bologna.

This was a night of triumph for Olympiakos at the Peace and Friendship Stadium as it defeated Real 73-60 in front of a capacity crowd.

Brave road win for the Reds, victory at last for the Greens

Both Olympiakos and Panathinaikos made up for their Tuesday losses with two-point victories in hard fought matches in the Euroleague on Thursday and Friday respectively.

The Reds scored their 12th win in 19 games, beating Virtus Bologna 85-83 in Italy despite fielding a rather depleted team.
