Croatia's Leftists Seek Allies to Stay in Power
After Croatia's parliamentary elections resulted in no clear winner, the ruling centre-left coalition, Croatia Grows, is seeking to gather a majority in parliament to form a new government.
Croatia Grows, led by the governing Social Democratic Party, SDP, won 56 of the 151 seats in total. The minimum number of MPs needed to form a government is 76.

Croatia's Conservatives Fall Short of Outright Majority in Parliament after Sunday's Vote
Opposition conservative Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) has won most votes in Sunday's general election but remained short of outright majority in the 151-seat parliament, HINA reported.
With 99.79% of ballots counted, the HDZ-led Patriotic Coalition has won 59 seats.

After 99.8 per cent of votes from the Croatian parliamentary elections were counted on Monday morning, the opposition centre-right coalition led by the Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ, had a slight lead over the governing centre-left coalition led by Social Democratic Party, SDP.
Conservative Opposition Declares Victory in Croatia's General Elections
The opposition conservative party, Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), claimed victory in the parliamentary elections, which were held in the country on Sunday.
However HDZ will face challenges in forming a government as partial results show that the party is set to win about 60 seats, while the ruling alliance led by the Social Democrats is expected to have 50 MPs.
Rightist Coalition Ahead in Croatia Election
According to ballots cast and counted at 31 per cent of polling stations in the country, the opposition centre-right coalition led by the Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ, is ahead of the governing centre-left coalition the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Sunday's general election.
