SPO expects dismissal of Vojvodina government president
NOVI SAD - Zika Gojkovic, deputy president of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO), stated on Sunday that he expects an initiative for dismissal of President of the Government of Vojvodina Bojan Pajtic to be introduced soon.
This would be followed by a reshuffle of the Vojvodina government, and provincial elections would not be held this year, Gojkovic told Novi Sad-based Dnevnik.
Detention extended to Radonjic, Romic for two months
BELGRADE - The Appellate Court in Belgrade extended for two months the detention of two former members of the state security service, Milan Radonjic and Ratko Romic, suspected of killing journalist Slavko Curuvija in Belgrade on April 11, 1999.
Ikonomidis: Greece supports Serbia's EU pathway
BELGRADE - Greece, which currently holds the EU presidency, will do all in its might to help Serbia on its EU pathway, Greek Ambassador to Serbia Konstantinos Ikonomidis stated on Friday.
Ikonomidis said at a debate held at the Belgrade Youth Center that he is honored to serve in Belgrade at the time when Serbia has engaged in the official talks on the EU accession.

BELGRADE - Germany's former chancellor Gerhard Schroeder stated on Thursday that the government in Belgrade has a realistic goal for Serbia to join the EU by 2020 as it is ready to carry out reforms despite all difficulties on the pathway.

BELGRADE -- Germany's former chancellor Gerhard Schroeder stated on Thursday that the government in Belgrade has "a realistic goal for Serbia to join the EU by 2020."
This is the case as it is "ready to carry out reforms despite all difficulties on the pathway," he was quoted as saying.

Serbia's Deputy PM Opposes Gazprom Pocketing Entire Profit of NIS
The authorities in Belgrade have opposed the practice of Russian Gazprom, owner of a 56% stake in Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS), pocketing the entire profit of the company.
Aleksandar Vucic, First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, noted that the company had reached a profit of EUR 380 largely thanks to Serbian oil, not extraordinary managerial achievements.
