Restoration work gets under way on Parthenon pediment

Restoration work on the western pediment of the Parthenon temple began Thursday as part of the ongoing project to restore and reconstruct monuments on the hill of the Acropolis.

The project, which was recently incorporated in the European Union-backed Partnership Agreement for 2014-20 known as ESPA, has a budget of 5 million euros.

Russian fighter in 'unsafe' intercept of US plane: Pentagon

A Russian fighter jet flew within a little more than 3 meters (10 feet) of a U.S. Navy surveillance aircraft, in what American officials called an unsafe intercept over the Black Sea, the Pentagon said Sept. 7, although Moscow quickly insisted the encounter was within "international rules."

When the gods aren’t sightseeing around Cambridge, they perform at the Cambridge Arts Theater as hosts for two shows from the Horrible Histories series where they portray Groovy Greeks.
