National Theater of Northern Greece celebrates social milestone
The Thessaloniki-based National Theater of Northern Greece is celebrating an important milestone after hitting the 1-million seat mark in special group bookings.
These groups include a diverse range of theatergoers, from ex-convicts in social reintegration programs and patients at psychiatric facilities, to pensioners from community centers and school pupils for far-flung islands.
Bulgaria: Gasoline Up 3 Cents, Diesel Rises by 6 Cents/Liter in Last Month
Consumers may have noticed a slight uptick in fuel prices over the past month, with gasoline and diesel seeing modest increases in Bulgaria. According to data from the "Fuelo" platform, gasoline prices rose by 3 cents per liter (1.14 percent), while diesel saw a slightly larger increase of 6 cents per liter (2.21 percent).

Fresh decline in electricity rates this month
Electricity bills will be even lower in March, as the continued de-escalation of gas rates drags down the price of electricity in the wholesale market.
For March, the charge per kilowatt-hour on the green tariffs is estimated to move to 10 to 11 cents, while for the yellow-marked tariffs the charge will drop to pre-energy crisis levels, with the price per kWh even below 8 cents.

Skrekas declares reduced goods prices as ‘permanent’
Speaking on the government's decision to reduce inflated prices on certain supermarket goods on Friday, Development Minister Kostas Skrekas said that the measure will be permanent and that it tackles a decades-long malaise.
Grocery price reduction expected next month
Price reductions in supermarket items will be visible to consumers as of early March, due to the implementation of measures by the Development Ministry, while as market executives commented to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, it is considered certain that the goal of reducing food inflation will be achieved.

The Acropolis got €60 mln worth of visitors in 2023
Revenue from visits to the Acropolis went up by €14 million from the previous year's €46 million, the culture minister said on Monday.
Speaking to lawmakers in Parliament, Lina Mendoni said that "upgrades of all services," such as a new electronic ticket system, have driven a "constant increase" in the iconic historical site's revenues.
Hotel prices rise most in Antalya last year
Antalya, Türkiye's famous holiday destination, led the increase in hotel prices last year, according to the data from the Hotel Association of Türkiye (TÜROB).
The average daily rate (ADR) was 172.1 euros in 2023 at Antalya's hotels, up 19.35 percent from the previous year. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 8 percent to 96.8 euros.
