Govt could annul procedure to pick delegated prosecutors
Ljubljana/Brdo pri Kranju – The government could vote on a proposal to annul the procedure to appoint Slovenia’s two European delegated prosecutors on Thursday and then publish a new call for applications, media have reported. PM Janez Janša said the government would check the appointment procedure Thursday to decide whether to proceed with it or repeat it.
Janša impeachment motion in parliament on Wednesday
Ljubljana – After last week’s blockade of a plenary session, parliament was back to business on Monday as the college of deputy group leaders set this week’s agenda. MPs will set a referendum date on Tuesday, the impeachment motion against PM Janez Janša is scheduled for Wednesday and a motion to dismiss Speaker Igor Zorčič might be debated on Friday.
Slovenia to play major role in conference on EU’s future
Ljubljana – Slovenia will play a major role in the organisation of the Conference on the Future of Europe as the bulk of the project is held during the Slovenian EU presidency. The country would like to add value to the conference substance-wise as well. It will strive to make sure that as many voices of EU citizens are heard as possible.
Janša warns against elections during EU presidency
Ljubljana – PM Janez Janša has warned against an early election that would be held during Slovenia’s EU presidency. This would mean being amid an election campaign dealing with itself when the country should be dealing with others’ problems, Janša said in an interview with public broadcaster TV Slovenija on Friday evening.

Summit of Brdo-Brijuni Process to discuss EU enlargement
Brdo pri Kranju – President Borut Pahor will host a summit of the Brdo-Brijuni Process in Brdo pri Kranju on Monday featuring his counterparts from Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia and the presiding trio of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The meeting, marking the 10th anniversary of the initiative, is to reaffirm committent to EU enlargement.
