Mytilineos posts 47.8 pct rise in 2019 turnover

The Athens-listed Mytilineos group on Thursday announced a 47.8 percent rise in turnover last year and 2.6 percent growth in net profits on an annual basis.
It said its 2019 turnover reached 2.256 billion euros, from 1.526 billion euros in 2018, supported by the strong growth achieved by its power and gas unit.

Prices of goods in high demand being monitored

The price of surgical masks and other commodities that have come in high demand as a result of the coronavirus outbreak will be put under the scrutiny by the Competition Commission to prevent profiteering.
Apart from masks, the products being monitored, according to the watchdog, include disinfectants, long-life milk, rice and pasta.

Pegasus Airlines targets $278 mln profit

Turkey's Pegasus Airlines has said it targets a net profit between 210 million and 250 million euros (around $278 million) this year.

The carrier's EbitDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) margin forecast for 2020 is 32 percent to 32.5 percent.

Pegasus also expects a 12 percent to 14 percent capacity increase (available seat kilometers).

Frigoglass posts double-digit growth

Freezer and glass bottle and jar manufacturer Frigoglass saw its sales rise 14.2 percent in the second quarter of 2019, to 162.69 million, up from 142.44 million in the same period in 2018.
The growth allowed it to get into the black, with a net profit of 8.77 million, compared to an 836,000-euro loss in the same period last year.
