Vehicle restrictions return in central Athens
Restrictions on vehicles entering central Athens will be reinstated as of September 29, the Traffic Police said Friday.
The restrictions are enforced every year and are designed to reduce traffic congestion in downtown Athens.

Traffic on Struma Motorway Expected to be Allowed Partially from Friday
Traffic on the Struma motorway in the direction to Sofia is expected to be allowed partially from today, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on August 23. The traffic will be reopened for cars. First, it will be examined how much weight the fire-damaged viaduct near Dupnica can withstand.
Section of Struma Highway will Remain Closed to Traffic for at Least 3 Weeks
Struma motorway will be fully open to traffic within three weeks at the earliest, the Road Infrastructure Agency said on August 15. The stretch near Dupnitsa remained closed as a result of the huge fire at a secondary raw material facility in the area. It is unclear how much the repair will cost after the damages caused by the fire on the motorway bridge structure.
The Toll System Will Be Put into Exploitation Today
The toll system will be put into exploitation with a trial period which starts today.
The cameras which will detect the traveled distance are already installed.
The TOLL system starts the testing today, however, the actual collection of the charges for trucks over 3 tonnes and a half will start in March next year.

Bulgarian traffic police started an operation against speeding, the Interior Ministry said on August 12.
The operation will run for a week starting from today until August 18 inclusive. It is part of an EU-wide one by European traffic police network TISPOL. Similar operations will be conducted on the territory of all member states.

A speed control operation will be held in Bulgaria and in all the countries that are members of the European Traffic Police Network TISPOL from today until August 18th. This was reported by the Ministry of Interior press center.
Speeding offenses are a common occurrence in all European countries.

The Bulgarian government has promised almost €380 million to fund the construction of a 23.6km section of the Struma motorway, between Kresna and Krupnik in the southwest of the country, reports khl.

Parking firm to aid drivers seeking a spot
Cityzen Parking & Services, the company which operates, among others, the parking lots at Athens International Airport, plans to introduce a system of sensors that will automatically indicate to drivers which parking spaces are empty and guide them there with colored arrows.
