President Rumen Radev announced plans to refer the recently adopted constitutional amendments to the Constitutional Court, asserting concerns over their implications for Bulgaria's democratic principles. The amendments, which were approved by Parliament, prompted Radev's action as he perceives their potential impact on citizens' rights and the nation's sovereignty.

"The barbaric destruction of monuments is not only an attempt to erase history, but also greatly exacerbates public opposition".

This was announced by President Rumen Radev in his first comment on the dismantling of the Monument to the Soviet Army.

According to him, the reason is that the destruction of one monument leads to the negation of another.

The much-anticipated launch of the Bulgaria-Serbia Interconnector (IBS) witnessed a significant ceremony graced by the presence of Presidents Rumen Radev and Aleksandar Vucic from both nations. Celebrating this milestone, the interconnector spans a total length of 170 kilometers, with 62 kilometers traversing Bulgarian terrain and linking the town of Novi Iskar in Bulgaria to Nis in Serbia.
