Ukraine accuses Russia of sending dozens of tanks

Ukraine has accused Russia of sending in dozens of tanks and other heavy weapons into Ukraine’s rebel-controlled eastern areas.

National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said on Nov. 7 at least 32 tanks, 16 artillery systems and 30 trucks loaded with fighters and ammunition had crossed into eastern Ukraine from Russia.

In Athens, NATO chief sees spike in Russian flights on border

NATO's new chief said on Thursday the alliance is increasing its readiness and air policing following a spike in Russian air force activity in Eastern Europe.

Jens Stoltenberg said while NATO is not back on Cold War terms with its former arch-enemy, recent Russian behavior has severely undermined the trust built up over decades.
