Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will return to court for the start of his sentencing trial Tuesday when prosecutors will demand that the American jury condemn the 21-year-old to death.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been found guilty of bombing the Boston Marathon in 2013 that left three people dead and more than 260 injured, the BBC reported.

The 21-year-old former student was found guilty of 17 counts each of which carries a possible death penalty.

A federal jury will now decide whether Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should receive the death sentence or life imprisonment.

Boston will revisit the horror of the 2013 Marathon bombings on March 4 when the 21-year-old accused of carrying out the worst attack on US soil since the September 11 strikes goes on trial.
