Ex-President of Albania Denied Entry to US over Corruption
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has officially denied a request for entry in to the US by former Albanian president Sali Berisha.
"Today, I am announcing the public designation of Sali Berisha, former President, Prime Minister and Member of Parliament of Albania, due to his involvement in significant corruption," Blinken said in a statement.

Berisha is the fourth Albanian to be added to the list of people unwelcome in the US after former General Prosecutor Adriatik Llalla, former Socialist Party mayor Vangjush Dako and the current Social Democratic Party head, Tom Doshi.
Albanian PM pelted with eggs in parliament
Rama was on the podium when the egg attack began.
Awaiting for the parliament speaker to intervene, Rama had to leave the session, Albeu.com website has reported.
A photo showing Hasha hitting Rama with eggs was published by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, along with the message, "for those present - toast and eggs."

EU Denies Wanting Albania to Host Rescued Refugees
In a response to a query from BIRN, it answered: "No. The regions are not yet identified as we are only talking about possibly exploring this concept," asked whether plans exist to create the so-called "Regional Disembarkation Platforms" in Albania.

Balkan countries voted in different ways in the UN General Assembly resolution, where most countries urged the United States to rescind its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Most countries defied US President Donald Trump on Thursday and voted in favour of the resolution calling for Washington to drop its plan to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Albanian Protesters Clash with Police Outside Parliament
Clashes erupted on Monday as thousands of opposition supporters protested outside the Albanian parliament in a bid to stop the ruling majority electing a new temporary general prosecutor.
The protesters clashed with police, who used tear gas in a bid to subdue them. Some people were reported to have been injured.
