Partizan fights back to tie ABA League semis series at 1-1

BELGRADE - Partizan defeated Crvena Zvezda 70-68 (22-17 20-18 16-13 12-20) on Wednesday to tie the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) League semifinal series at 1-1.

Milan Macvan scored the most points on the winning team, 14, followed by Josh Akoyon with 13, Aleksandar Pavlovic with 11 and Milenko Tepic with 10.

ISTANBUL -- The public prosecutor in Istanbul has asked for a guilty verdict and a sentence of 18 years in prison for a suspect in the case of the murder of a Serbian man.

Kadri Aktas is accused of stabbing to death Marko Ivkovic, who was in Istanbul to support the Belgrade-based Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) basketball club.
