The Bulgarian Parliament Terminated the powers of MP Vezhdi Rashidov
With 103 votes "for", the National Assembly terminated the powers of the People's Representative from GERB Vezhdi Rashidov. Only "Vazrazhdane" voted three "against" and 27 "abstained".
The Speaker of the Parliament, Rosen Zhelyazkov, expressed his thanks and best wishes to Rashidov:

Vezhdi Rashidov resigned as an MP. In a message to the media, it is stated that, in addition to the National Assembly, Rashidov is leaving the GERB party and politics.

Presiding over the first session of the 49th Parliament, Vezhdi Rashidov closed the plenary day without an elected Speaker of the Parliament.
This happened after the end of the break, in which the MPs walked out after they failed to elect a Speaker on the first attempt.
Vezhdi Rashidov Opens an Exhibition in Plovdiv
Vezhdi Rashidov opens his exhibition at the Plovdiv City Gallery. This time the sculptor presents not only his works but also a large part of his collection - Western European paintings from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
The two parts of the exhibition are united under the heading "Passions".

Vezhdi Rashidov: The Place of the St. Stephen Iron Church is in UNESCO
Today the Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on Culture and Media Vezhdi Rashidov welcomed the UNESCO Director- General Audrey Azoulay in Sofia. He shared the idea that the Bulgarian St. Stephen's Iron Church in Istanbul should be included in the World Heritage List of the organization.
