The NBA season might be over for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but the “Greek Freak” is not missing a beat, as he hit the gym during his stay in Greece. Giannis and his younger brother Kostas trained together. The NBA star and Kostas, who many believe, including Giannis, will grow up to be better than the Greek Freak visited a gym in Maroussi, Athens to shoot some hoops.

One of the legends of Greek and European basketball Dimitris Diamantidis turned 37 Saturday. Eurohoops honoured the former Panathinaikos captain and multi-Euroleague champion by posting a 53-min documentary video of career highlights and life. Respect to the great man and player.

Istanbul has proven a black hole for Greece's representatives in the Euroleague, with Panathinaikos eliminated from the competition on Tuesday and seeing fresh problems threatening its domestic season too, while Olympiakos suffered another loss on Wednesday and is also on the verge of elimination.

Fenerbahçe became the first team to advance to the 2017 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four, which will be held in its own city, by completing a playoff sweep of Panathinaikos with a 79-61 victory on April 25 at Fenerbahçe Ülker Sports Arena on April 25. 

Fenerbahçe used a balanced attack to reach its third Final Four in as many seasons.

Buoyed by two sensational road wins last week, Istanbul's Fenerbahçe could become the first team to advance to the EuroLeague Final Four by sweeping a best-of-five series at home when it hosts Panathinaikos on April 25. 

Fenerbahçe took firm control of its Turkish Airlines Euroleague playoffs series with Panathinaikos by claiming a 75-80 victory at the Olympic Sports Center on April 20 to go up 2-0 before next week's return to Istanbul. 

Game 1 of the Euroleague play-offs saw Olympiakos make the most of its home advantage to defeat Anadolu Efes on Wednesday, after Panathinaikos squandered a 16-point lead to suffer a potentially damaging loss to Fenerbahce in Athens on Tuesday.

NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo (aka: The Greek Freak) added another solid performance with his team the Milwaukee Bucks against the Toronto Raptors in the playoffs, but he was unable to lead his team to victory in the second match. The Raptors won by 106-100 with Giannis scoring 24 points, getting 15 rebounds and giving 7 assists. The series now stand at 1 won for each team.

ZAGREB - Red Star Belgrade have won their third consecutive title in the basketball ABA League by defeating Cedevita Zagreb 77-61 (22-18, 24-21, 19-19, 12-13) on the road in late Thursday's third game of the play-off final series, sweeping the Croatian team 3-0.

Red Star have thus secured a Euroleague spot next season.

ZAGREB - I feel satisfied because we have achieved our main objective by winning the trophy that gives us a spot in the basketball Euroleague next season, Red Star head coach Dejan Radonjic said after his team won a third consecutive title in the regional ABA league by beating Cedevita in Zagreb on Thursday.
