Mali attends investor meeting in Washington

WASHINGTON - At a Washington investor meeting, Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali spoke with representatives of the top US and international companies and investment funds.

Mali, who is in Washington for the IMF/World Bank Group Spring Meetings, gave a presentation of Serbia's economic performance and opportunities for investing in the country.

Mali: New S&P report may give Serbia investment-grade credit rating

WASHINGTON - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said a new Standard & Poor's report on Serbia, due in October, may give the country investment-grade credit rating as early as this year.

Mali said this after a meeting with the credit rating agency's representatives in Washington, where he is attending the IMF/World Bank Group Spring Meetings.

Mali: Serbia registering positive growth rates

PARIS - In spite of the corona virus pandemic and the current energy crisis, Serbia has been, and is, succeeding in registering positive growth rates, as indicated by last year's 2.5 pct GDP growth, Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said in Paris on Tuesday.

The plan is for Serbia's GDP to exceed 100 bln euros in 2027, Mali said at a meeting of a Serbia-France business council.

Mali: Serbia receiving international confirmation it is on right track

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Monday a conclusion by the Council of Europe money laundering watchdog MONEYVAL that Serbia had made progress on development of an anti-money laundering and terror financing system confirmed the country was on the right track.

The conclusion is included in the latest MONEYVAL report, published earlier in the day.

Mali: Serbia aims to return to high-growth zone by 2027

KOPAONIK - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Monday Serbia's goal was to achieve 3.5 pct GDP growth this year and return to a high-growth zone of 6 to 7 pct by 2027.

Speaking at the Kopaonik Business Forum, Mali noted that Serbia had had 6 pct GDP growth in 2019, just before the outbreak of the coronavirus.
