Sofia will have a New Urban Environment
New buildings in the center of Sofia will not be higher than 75 meters. If they are built at the foot of Vitosha Mountain - the maximum admissible height is 15 meters. This was made clear by the words of the chief architect of Sofia Zdravko Zdravkov, on the occasion of the report on the new look of the capital, prepared by the Danish urban planner Jan Geel, reports Darik.

''Old Paper For New Book'' Campaign In Sofia Today
The national eco campaign ''Old Paper for New Book '' is held for the 5th consecutive year in Bulgaria.
Sofia, Plovdiv, Haskovo, Ruse and Burgas municipalities are hosting this year's initiative. The eco campaign allows children to learn more about recycling, nature protection and separate waste collection.

Sofia Will Held Again the Traveling Exhibition "Alley of the Book"
Between 12 and 17 September in Sofia again will be held the traveling exhibition "Alley of the Book".
The initiative has already passed through Varna and Plovdiv.
The exhibition will stop in the center of Sofia, оn Vitosha Boulevard - from the monument of Aleko Konstantinov to Gladson Str.
More than 50 Bulgarian publishers will participate during the book exhibition.
Protest Against The Construction of a Skyscraper in Sofia
Residents of Sofia's Strelbishte quarter formed a live chain at the junction of Bulgaria and Ivan Geshov's boulevards for about half an hour yesterday evening, reported Standart News.
They protested the plans of a private construction company to build a skyscraper in the place of a small garden in their neighborhood.
The Lift in Dragalevtsi Stopped Operating
The lift in Dragalevtsi stopped operating. Last Friday, the lift was damaged and now the owner of ''Vitosha Ski'' checks the cause of the accident, reported bTV.
The company did not commit to forecasting when the facility would work again.

Several Sofia Neighborhoods Left without Power
Electricity supply has been cut in several southern neighborhoods in Bulgaria's capital Sofia.
These include Gorna Banya, Lozenets, Vitosha and Kinotsentar, electricity distribution company CEZ has said on its website.
Power is gradually being restored in the affected areas, accoring to CEZ.

New Section of Sofia Metro Line 2 to Be Launched in July
Construction of the new section of the second line of the underground in the Bulgarian capital is going according to schedule and the new Vitosha station is expected to be opened in July.
This was stated by Sofia mayor Yordanka Fandakova who inspected the progress of construction on Tuesday.
