PSD's Sova: If Victor Ponta becomes Romania's president, the Prime Minister won't be from PSD

Social Democratic Party's (PSD) mouthpiece Dan Sova on Wednesday told a press conference held in Alba Iulia that, in case Victor Ponta becomes Romania's president, he won't choose the Prime Minister from among the PSD members, but he would prefer a technocrat instead. However, he had no favorite politician in mind for the spot yet.

Anticorruption Directorate: Senator Sova under criminal investigation for complicity to abuse of office

The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) informs that prosecutors ordered the launching of a criminal investigation on senator Dan Sova for three counts of complicity to abuse of office, allegedly perpetrated while he was the legal representative of the Sova & Associates law firm, and resulting in obtaining undue benefits for himself or for others.

PSD National Executive Committee to convene in meeting

The National Executive Committee of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), major at rule, will convene today to analyse the results of the May 25 European elections.

PSD's Ioan Chelaru, deputy chairman of the Senate, said earlier this week that the convention of the PSD National Executive Committee will be held on May 29, starting at 13:00hrs, EEST.
