City of Belgrade to start marking Holocaust Remembrance Day

BELGRADE -- The Belgrade City Assembly decided on Tuesday that May 10 will be marked as a remembrance day for the Holocaust victims in Belgrade.

The new city authorities in the Serbian capital have vowed to finally build a memorial at the site of the largest Nazi concentration camp in the region, where 7,000 Jews died.
