6.1 earthquake hits off the coast of Japan
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 has been detected off the coast of Japan.
The US Geological Survey said that the earthquake struck about 286km south east of Kamaishi, and around 321km east of Fukushima.
The depth of the earthquake, which struck at 2.37am local time, was measured at 10km. Details of any damage are yet to emerge.

More than 10,000 people have been injured in an earthquake of 4,4 on Richter's scale in the southern part of China, as announced by Sinhua news agency.
The location was 6 kilometers in the Yunnan province.
There have not been any victims dicovered so far. However, 280 buildings have been destroyed.
Minor tsunami hits Japan after undersea quake
A strong undersea earthquake unleashed a small tsunami Feb. 17 off the same coastline of northern Japan devastated by a tsunami in 2011 that left more than 18,000 people dead.
The quake was followed by a series of tremors, the largest of which was magnitude 5.8, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Minor Tsunami Hit Fukushima Coast After Strong Earthquake
Minor tsunami hit the northern Japanese coastline early Saturday, including in a city near the Fukushima nuclear plant, reports Japan Times.
It was caused by a strong 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the Pacific coast.There were no immediate reports of damage, however, and authorities lifted all advisories roughly two hours later.
Around 135 Aftershocks Registered After Saturday Earthquake in Greece
Seismologists registered around 135 aftershocks between the Saturday 6.9 Richter scale earthquake in the Aegean Sea and Sunday morning.
Around 20 of them were of 4 Richter scale or a little higher, the remaining are between 2.8 and 3.
