New Prices for Taxis in Sofia from January 1 2022
Taxis in Sofia with new prices. They were adopted today by the Transport Commission in the Sofia Municipal Council.
The minimum daily tariff becomes BGN 1.05 per kilometer, and the maximum - BGN 1.78.
The minimum night tariff becomes BGN 1.21 per kilometer, and the maximum - BGN 2.19.
The new prices come into force on January 1, 2022.

Taxi driver who kicked pregnant woman out of cab given house arrest
A taxi driver who kicked a pregnant woman in labor out of his cab in the Marmara province of Kocaeli's Çayırova district has been sentenced to house arrest.
The driver, identified only by the initials M.B., took Aisha Hashem, a Syrian woman whose water had just broken, into his cab but later kicked her out after she showed signs of labor.
Cabbie who abandoned gunshot victim slammed
The union representing Attica taxi drivers, SATA, has proposed that a cabbie be deprived of his license after forcing an injured woman out of his car on Thursday because he feared getting his vehicle dirty.
Describing the driver's behavior as "not only unprofessional but inhuman," SATA called on the Transport Ministry to withdraw his license and ban him from driving a taxi.
