7 ISIL terrorists caught ‘preparing to carry out suicide attacks’

Seven ISIL terrorists planning to carry out suicide attacks in metropolitan cities have been caught in simultaneous operations conducted in seven provinces.

The proceedings of the suspects caught in the operations held in the provinces of Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Bursa and Adana continue at the provincial gendarmerie commands.

Türkiye, US jointly freeze assets of ISIL affiliates

Türkiye and the United States decided to take joint action on freezing the assets of five individuals and two legal persons identified as financing the ISIL, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced on Jan.5.

Death toll from Somalia twin bombings climbs to 100

The number of people killed in twin car bombings in the Somali capital Mogadishu, claimed by Al-Shabaab Islamists, has risen to 100, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said on Sunday.

"So far, the number of people who died has reached 100 and 300 are wounded, and the number for both the death and wounded continues to increase," he said after visiting the blast location.
