One person is missing and at least 130 are injured after two powerful tropical storms hit Taiwan. The first was the typhoon "Nesat" on Saturday, and less than 24 hours later damage was caused by another disaster - "Haitian". Reports BTV. 

Nesat had a force equivalent to a category 1 hurricane. In the capital of Taipei, it produced winds at a speed of up to 150 km/h.

Thousands of residents were loaded onto military trucks in the Philippines on Dec. 25 as they fled from the path of a powerful typhoon barreling towards the disaster-prone archipelago.  

At least 32 people were reported missing Sept. 29 after rain-saturated hillsides collapsed onto villages in southeastern China following a typhoon, the Associated Press reported.

Hundreds of thousands of people were evacuated from the central Philippines on Dec. 14 as a typhoon with winds of up to 150 kph (95 mph) made landfall, dumping heavy rain that could cause flooding, landslides and storm surges, authorities warned.

Hurricane Patricia is moving into the interior of Mexico becoming the most furious hurricane ever known to make landfall in the area after the center of its eye crossed the coast of Jalisco state early on Friday evening. Winds are rapidly losing strength.

Typhoon Koppu smashed into Casiguran in northern Philippines’ Luzon island around 1 am local time, bringing powerful winds and rain.

There are fears of heavy floods and landslips in the next three days.

“There are still no reports of casualty, thank God,” said Alexander Pama, executive director of National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

Typhoon Soudelor killed nine people in eastern China after parts of the country were hit by the heaviest rains in a century, state media reported on August 9.

Another three people are missing after the storm caused landslides in rural parts of eastern Zhejiang province, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing local disaster relief officials.    

At least 36 people were killed after a passenger ferry with close to 200 people on board capsized in rough waters in the central Philippines on July 2, officials said.
