Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met on Friday in Belgrde with Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang.

The diplomat "congratulated her on the election, and conveyed warm greetings of the Chinese state leadership as well as congratulations from Premier Li Keqiang," the Serbian government announced.

China can meet its economic growth targets this year, Premier Li Keqiang told an international gathering on June 27, batting away concerns about risks in the country's financial sector.

BEIJING - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic met with Chinese PM Li Keqiang in Beijing on Friday as part of a state visit to China.

Nikolic and Li discussed ways of enhancing the mechanisms of cooperation within the 16+1 initiative, China's state news agency Xinhua reported.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received Statehood Day congratulations from Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang.

The Serbian government announced this, and published the text of Li's message:

China has set up a 10 billion euro ($11.15 billion) investment fund to finance projects in Central and Eastern Europe, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China said in a statement issued on Nov. 6.

The China-Central Eastern Europe fund will be run by Sino-CEE Financial Holdings Ltd, a company established by the bank earlier this year.

Chinese PM Li Keqiang says cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries "will bring in new light that has to be directed at the future."

Li was addressing the opening of the China-CEES (Central and Eastern European countries) summit in Suzhou on Tuesday when he noted there are a few priorities to be discussed at this year's gathering.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli on Wednesday discussed the economic and political cooperation between the two countries.

On behalf of Premier Li Keqiang, Zhang invited Vucic to visit China, which will host this year's summit of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries.

China said on Tuesday it hopes Greece gets out of its debt crisis at an early date.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said that China has noted the close communication among the relevant parties surrounding the debt crisis in Greece.

BELGRADE - Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang said Thursday that China appreciates Serbia's balanced strategy between East and West, and the readiness of the Serbian side to stand as a strategic pillar of the China-EU cooperation.

The long-standing friendship between the two countries is at its highest level, said Li during the meeting with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.

Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang met with his counterparts from central and eastern Europe on Tuesday, reaffirming his country's plans to construct a new transport network which is to bring Chinese exports into Europe.
