Turkish Lira loses value after Fed meeting
The Turkish Lira has lost value after the U.S. Federal Reserve hinted at a possible December interest rate hike and rallied against most emerging currencies.
The lira's value declined to around 2.93 from 2.89 against the dollar after the Fed decision on Oct. 28. The Turkish currency then rebounded to 2.916 early Oct. 29.

Deutsche Bank to slash jobs, exit countries in 3.8bn euro cost-cut
Deutsche Bank, Germany's biggest lender, announced Oct. 29 it would cut 9,000 jobs and pull out of 10 countries in a new 3.8-billion-euro cost-cutting drive after it ran up record losses in the third quarter.
Turkish Post Office to expand overseas
Turkey's national post office (PTT) will expand its operations overseas, its chairman and general manager told Anadolu Agency on Oct. 28.
Harun Maden said PTT would be expanding its operations into international logistics, goods transport and package deliveries.

Four killed in Pakistan after Afghanistan quake
At least four people were killed and scores injured on Oct. 26 in northeastern Pakistan when a strong earthquake hit neighbouring Afghanistan, Pakistani health officials and police said.
An earthquake of magnitude 7.5 struck northeastern Afghanistan, the U.S. Geological Survey said, sending tremors that were felt in India and Pakistan.

42 people die in bus and truck collision in southern France
Some 42 people died in a collision between a bus and truck near Bordeaux in Southern France, an official from the local prefect's office said on Oct. 23.
Another 5 people were lighly injured, the official said, after the two vehicules clashed and caught fire.
