Explosion at Istanbul Airport Leaves One Dead, One Wounded

An explosion at the Sabiha Gokcen airport in the Turkish city of Istanbul early on Wednesday left one woman of the cleaning staff dead and another injured.

The two women were inside an aircraft at the time of the explosion and were transported to hospital, where one of them passed away due to the fatal injuries she had sustained.

Turkish dance group Fire of Anatolia begins China tour

The world-famous Turkish dance group Fire of Anatolia started its eighth China tour on Dec. 18 with a well-received performance at Shanghai's Oriental Art Center.

The two-hour show - featuring a synthesis of Turkish folk dance with ballet, modern dance and other dance disciplines - earned a period of sustained applause from the Chinese audience.

Turkish Airlines Adds 4 More Weekly Flights between Sofia and Istanbul

Turkey's national flag carrier airline Turkish Airlines has announced it is increasing the number of flights it performs per week between Sofia and Istanbul.

The total number of Istanbul - Sofia - Istanbul weekly flights will be 18, up from 14, as of December 28, 2015.

Teachers, students killed in road accident in southeastern Turkey

At least 11 people were killed and four others were injured when a truck crashed into a passenger coach in Turkey's eastern Van province early on Dec. 12, police and the provincial governor said.

The coach passengers were teachers and students traveling from Van's Erci? district to the city center for an examination, Van Governor Ibrahim Ta?yapan said.
