Turkish Airlines opens new route to Ukraine
Turkish Airlines, Turkey's flagship carrier, will begin flights to Zaporizhya, Ukraine, from Istanbul on Dec. 28, the airline said in a statement.
Service to Zaporizhya, a city in the south of the country that sits on the Dnieper River, will run four times a week.

An Iranian plane has skid off a runway and crashed into a concrete barrier in Istanbul Atatürk Airport, forcing the evacuation of its passengers.
The incident took place at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 24 as a Mahan Air flight from Tehran failed to safely land at Istanbul's busiest airport.

The world-famous Turkish dance group Fire of Anatolia started its eighth China tour on Dec. 18 with a well-received performance at Shanghai's Oriental Art Center.

At least 11 people were killed and four others were injured when a truck crashed into a passenger coach in Turkey's eastern Van province early on Dec. 12, police and the provincial governor said.
