Anastasiades says time is right for Cyprus to reunite
Cypruss Greek and Turkish communities must work together to make sure that partition does not become a permanent fixture, President Nicos Anastasiades said yesterday as talks to reunite the Mediterranean island appear to have stalled.
Missing persons
This Saturday, July 12, there was a solemn ceremony in Cyprus. Forty years after he went missing, the remains of a Greek Cypriot was finally laid to rest. This was the first-ever funeral held in northern Cyprus for a Greek Cypriot missing person.

Turkey Must Pay EUR 90 M over Cyprus Invasion - ECHR
The European Court of Human Rights ordered Turkey to pay EUR 90 M over the invasion of Cyrpus in 1974.
Monday's judgment also says the damages ascribed to Ankara were a compensation for losses the island's population suffered during the invasion, according to the Wall Street Journal.
