Russia might be Preparing a Provocation in the Black Sea – Bulgaria is a Potential Target

Russia is preparing new provocations in the Black Sea, and among the potential targets of provocations are Bulgaria and Romania, the Association for the Reintegration of Crimea, a non-governmental platform that analyzes and seeks solutions to problems after the Russian occupation of Crimea, said in its official Facebook profile.

The tension between Russia and Ukraine comes over the situation in the Sea of Azov. Russian Coast Guard boats (on Sunday) seized three Ukrainian military vessels in the Black Sea near Crime, as they were trying to cross the Kerch Straits.

The Russian side used weapons to force the ships to stop.

The U.N. Security Council Is Calling an Emergency Meeting Over Russia-Ukraine Tensions

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley says an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council has been called over the escalating situation between Russia and Ukraine, reported the Time. 

Haley tweeted that a meeting has been called for 11 a.m. Monday.

Bulgarian Sailor Died on Board of the "Heroes of Sevastopol"

A 56-year-old Bulgarian sailor was killed in a fire on board the ferry "The heroes of Sevastopol", which is currently in the Georgian port of Poti, the BNR reported.

The incident is yet to be investigated, but a short circuit in one of the cabins is suspected to be the cause. The sailor suffocated from the smoke during the fire while the ferry was passing by Sochi.

Bulgarian Student 'Opens Fire, Wounds 4' in Odessa

A brawl involving drunken students in the Ukrainian city of Odessa has ended in four people being injured after a Bulgarian opened fire on his colleagues, a Ukrainian news website reports.

According to 368.media, a Russian-language outlet, a scandal broke between two groups of students  at the Odessa I.I. Melchikov National University.

Deliberate Attack against Bulgarian Culture Center in Odessa Ruled Out

The Bulgarian cultural center in Odessa has not been the target of a deliberate attack, according to a media statement of the Foreign Ministry.

The statement comes in response to media publications informing of damages to the All-Ukrainian Center for Bulgarian Culture in Odessa.
