President Rumen Radev met with Macedonian counterpart Gjorge Ivanov.

This is the first state visit since the entry into force of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborhood and Cooperation between the two countries.

The official welcoming ceremony took place at Villa ,,Vodno'' Residence.

According to newly obtained public procurement data published in BIRN's Skopje 2014 Uncovered database, the price tag of the urban revamp has surged by an additional 40 million euro, surpassing a total cost of 600 million euro.

When the BIRN database was first published in late July, the cost of the project amounted to some 560 million euro.

The steel cross, which the authors say will be over 50 metres high, is being speedily assembled in the Skopje municipality of Aerodrom so that it can be opened by Orthodox Easter, celebrated on April 20.
