Disney+ service sees subscriber numbers shrink
Disney reported that its Disney+ streaming television service lost more than 10 million subscribers in the recently ended quarter, in large part due to the Indian market.
Disney+ finished the quarter with 146.1 million subscribers, compared with just shy of 158 million in the first three months of this year, the group said.

Disney marks centenary with retrospective
Disney is putting its cultural legacy on show in Germany in a multimedia exhibition featuring memorabilia from the Magic Kingdom, including the first ticket to Disneyland and drawings from its most famous animated pictures.
From Mickey Mouse to Marvel, the U.S. entertainment titan's celebration of its centenary opened in Munich last week, the first stop on its European tour.

The Odessa National Opera Ballet is making a two-day stop at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall during its ongoing European tour with "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." The choreography, inspired by the Disney take of the Grimm Brothers' classic is that of Genrikh Mayorov from 1975, based on the original music by Polish composer Bogdan Pavlovsky.

Marvel movies return to China after nearly 4-year break
Chinese film fans on Jan18 celebrated the return of Marvel movies to the country's cinemas after an absence of nearly four years.
Foreign films are tightly controlled in China, which imposes an annual release quota, and movies in the hugely popular Marvel franchises have been off the silver screen since the release of "Spider-Man: Far from Home" in July 2019.
