Bodossaki Excellence Award goes to two distinguished scientists
Even the pure white marble statues of Konstantinos and Evangelis Zappas on either side of the grand entrance were glowing in the afternoon June sun. Surprisingly, however, the temperature was pleasantly mild within the Zappeion colonnade, where the Bodossaki Excellence Award ceremony was again held this year, presided over by the president of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
Meet Market | Athens | July 6-7
Athens' Zappeion outdoor promenade will host the Meet Market (themeetmarket.gr) on the weekend of July 6-7, offering a vibrant showcase of small designers' clothing, handmade jewelry, gourmet treats and more under the shade of the flowering jacaranda trees. Over 80 local designers, artists and producers will present their wares, all made in Greece.

Council of Bars & Law Societies of Europe to hold two-day conference in Athens
The Council of Bars & Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) will convene in a two-day conference on November 22-24 at Zappeion Megaron in Athens.
CCBE brings together the bars and law societies of 46 countries from the European Union, the European Economic Area, and broader Europe.

Culture minister meets with ambassador of China on Culture and Tourism Year
Culture & Sports Minister Lina Mendoni met on Friday with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Greece Xiao Junzheng.
With 2023 being the Greece-China Culture and Tourism Year, the Greek minister and the Chinese ambassador discussed the upcoming exhibition of Chinese art that will be held at Zappeion Hall in the autumn, under the auspices of the culture ministry.
