Council of Bars & Law Societies of Europe to hold two-day conference in Athens

The Council of Bars & Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) will convene in a two-day conference on November 22-24 at Zappeion Megaron in Athens.

CCBE brings together the bars and law societies of 46 countries from the European Union, the European Economic Area, and broader Europe.

Culture minister meets with ambassador of China on Culture and Tourism Year

Culture & Sports Minister Lina Mendoni met on Friday with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Greece Xiao Junzheng.

With 2023 being the Greece-China Culture and Tourism Year, the Greek minister and the Chinese ambassador discussed the upcoming exhibition of Chinese art that will be held at Zappeion Hall in the autumn, under the auspices of the culture ministry.

Special Olympics 2023 ‘Flame of Hope’ lit in Athens and presented to Berlin Games officials

Athens gets into the spirit of Carnival

The City of Athens Philharmonic Orchestra performs outside the Zappeion Megaron building in the National Gardens on Saturday as the capital kicks into Carnival gear. As of last week, Athens is hosting more 60 festive open-air events for everyone, young and old, around the city until March 2 when the Carnival season peaks on Clean Monday.

Kids aged 3 to 12 are invited to put on their Carnival costumes and join the games, creative activities and educational events that are being organized by the City of Athens at Zappeion. Highlights will include acrobats, jugglers, stilt walkers, musicians, magicians, face painting and more. Starts at 11 a.m. and admission is free.
