Turkish man stabbed while breaking up fight over swimming in underwear

A man who attempted to break up a fight between an official and two people who sought to go swimming in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak in their underwear has been taken to hospital after sustaining serious stab wounds.

Enver Gümü? was stabbed as he was trying to break a fight at Zonguldak's blue-flag Kapuz Beach on Aug. 31. 

Miner killed in landslide in Zonguldak

One miner was killed in an accident at a mine in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak on Aug. 11, after being trapped under a mine the previous day due to a landslide. 

Rescue workers found the miner's body under the debris after 11 hours of searching at the mine, which is operated by the state Turkish Coal Institute (TTK).

Nine workers who were trapped after a cave-in at a private mining facility in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak on Aug. 12 have been rescued.

The workers, identified as Yüksel Günbel, Ayhan Günbel, Cüneyt Karagünlü, Muhammet Kilitçi, Mustafa Pazarbaşı, Murtaza Pazarcık, Taner Tutal, Müslüm Bayraklı and Ferhat Mangır, were taken to the hospital.
